Dingle Peninsula (Dingle Creativity Innovation Hub)

The vision of Dingle Hub is to build a creative, liveable, and sustainable community, fostering a vibrant and diverse ecosystem of stakeholders to facilitate the creation and maintenance of well-paid, year-round incomes on the Dingle Peninsula. Dingle Peninsula Living Lab has developed an innovative model of Remote Regional Development. It balances highly structured focus, anchored in core pillars, with a flexibility of delivery across processes and partnerships. It builds on existing assets and continuously shares outputs and learnings. Dingle Peninsula Living Lab applies a flexible multi-layered approach building on the local; attracting the new, building networks of resources and capabilities aspiring to, primed for and delivering entrepreneurial growth of sustainable enterprise (private and social). Engagement at all levels – community, research, industry, and policymaker – is central to this story and has led to a hybrid top-down meets bottom-up approach that is achieving concrete results and providing value for all stakeholders. Dingle Peninsula Living Lab aims to achieve:

  1. a vibrant, strongly networked, transition–engaged community with a robust co-created vision of the future for the community;
  2. sustainable strategies bringing that co-created vision into reality;
  3. employment impact of 200+ jobs; iv) enabling conditions for 200+ new Connected (Home) Working incomes to be sustained on the Peninsula.
