CO2 Solution Living Lab

The CO2-Solutions Living Lab under Interbalkan Environment Center – Green Innovation Hub (I-BEC), brings together academia, industry, government, and civil society to address real-world environmental challenges and co-create innovative solutions focusing on advancing carbon farming practices to effectively reduce the carbon footprint and increase carbon sequestration.

 We foster collaborative activities for problem-solving in real-life settings, emphasizing:

• Active involvement of end-users (farmers, landowners, cooperatives, agronomist consultants, agricultural technology companies, certification bodies, Regional authorities & Municipalities)
•  Engaging end-users in the co-creation process
•  Multi-stakeholder participation including all the quadruple helix actors
•  Utilizing a multi-method approach rather than relaying n a single methodology.

 CO2-Solutions Living Lab promotes:

• Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for ecosystem resilience
• Nature-based solutions (NBS) for sustainable resource management
• Carbon farming practices
• Precision agriculture practices
• Mapping and network orchestration within the agri-food sector
• Information dissemination and educational programs to raise awareness
