Blue Hotspot Water, Soil and Climate

Collaboration with partners is essential for developing and implementing innovative, practice-oriented blue-green education focused on societal issues related to water, soil, and climate. This partnership must be sustainable, multi-year, and shared, involving partners who are willing to contribute, pioneer, and learn. The Blue Hotspot and regional hubs form the core of this approach, bringing together educational institutions, businesses, government, and citizens to work on current challenges through projects, research, and learning activities.

The Blue Hotspot acts as a central community for co-creation and innovation, based on three pillars: education and learning, content development of blue-green education, and practice-oriented knowledge sharing. For each theme (water, soil, climate), a dedicated Hotspot is established, supported by regional hubs that coordinate implementation.

The Water & Soil Practoraat is a research and expertise platform promoting innovation and knowledge exchange, actively collaborating with teachers, students, and knowledge partners. It focuses on applied research and strengthening education and practice around water management, soil quality, and climate change, serving as a source of knowledge and innovation to promote sustainable blue-green education and practice.
