BAŞAKŞEHİR LIVING LAB

Başakşehir Living Lab is certificated as Turkey’s first Living Lab in May 2012. Başakşehir Living Lab is established for spreading innovation and entrepreneurship based on ICT and industrial design, supporting the new business opportunities, developing new easily accessible services for Başakşehir citizens, and promoting the awareness of citizens to new technological improvements. Başakşehir Living Lab serves at Başakşehir Municipality Innovation and Technology Center, located in Başakşehir District of Istanbul, where it is equipped with the latest technology and is the first public sector building that has LEED Gold Certification. In total, it has 3,000 sqm indoor space and many specialized areas in it, such as user experience centre, electronic lab, 3D modelling and printing area, incubation area, design factory, conference room, workshop hall and social area. In this building, entrepreneurs have great chances about user-centric application and product development, laboratory work, business development workshops and meeting with investors.
