Happy Aging, the living lab of In4Care, is an inclusive ecosystem where companies, care organizations, knowledge institutions, and end users collaborate in a realistic and inspiring environment. Within this setting, innovative ideas are developed, tested, and refined to address both current and future challenges in healthcare. While Happy Aging has extensive expertise in elderly care and engaging active older adults, its focus extends to broader care innovation and prevention, recognizing that healthy aging begins well before old age. By placing end users firmly at the center, Happy Aging ensures that solutions are meaningful, practical, and ready for successful implementation. 

Testing takes place in authentic contexts, such as lab and care facilities as well as people’s homes, providing a safe and relevant environment for co-creation, knowledge exchange, and the acceleration of adoption processes. Leveraging its strong expertise and close connections with a broad network of health care providers throughout Flanders, Happy Aging is uniquely positioned to bridge innovative concepts with daily practice. By actively disseminating validated results through its extensive (inter)national network, Happy Aging helps ensure that innovations reach the right partners and markets. In doing so, it contributes to a future in which innovation, quality of life, and sustainable impact go hand in hand.
