Galician Network of Health Living Labs

The Galician Network of Health Living Labs, LABSAÚDE, is an initiative fostered by the Galician Health Service (SERGAS) and the Galician Health Knowledge Agency (ACIS) with the purpose of transforming Galician hospitals and health centres into real-life testing hubs for innovative solutions, products or services in the healthcare sector. It aims at establishing an ecosystem of multidisciplinary and multisectorial co-creation, with a focus on the user, by defining an innovative functional model and providing equipment and facilities for different Living Lab scenarios in which health research and innovation studies will be developed. 

The Network was first implemented at the University Hospital Complex of Ourense (CHUOU), with a dedicated space for experimental hospitalisation, and has since expanded to the University Hospital Complex of Vigo (CHUVI), where the focus will be on dementia and digital (health) solutions.
