Winlab

WinLab is the urban Living Lab of the City of Winterthur, committed to sustainable urban development through innovation and co-creation. 

The WinLab provides methodological support and real-world experimental spaces where stakeholders from government, business, academia, and civil society collaboratively design, test, and refine solutions to emerging urban challenges, functioning as a hub for socio-technological innovation and connecting interest associations and networks acting as multipliers towards their own members. The lab participates in national and international research projects and provides a funding programme for small- and medium-scale projects supported through the city’s Smart City Strategy, acting as a catalyst for innovative, smart initiatives, supporting the implementation of co-creative projects and increasing the innovativeness and attractiveness of the city of Winterthur.
