Nantes City Lab

Through the Nantes City Lab, Nantes Métropole provides a range of experimental sites, equipment, data, and engineering services to test innovative solutions in situ, in vivo, at scale 1. Nantes City Lab is a system dedicated to full-scale experimentation of innovative solutions by start-ups, SMEs, large groups, researchers, universities, and associations. It brings together concrete means to innovate in the Nantes metropolitan area, including: An urban laboratory: places and equipment to test innovative solutions related to social, ecological, and economic transitions.

A service to facilitate innovation through experimentation: a single point of contact, labelling, research for places to experiment, links with Nantes Métropole technical departments, search for partnerships, definition of citizen interactions adapted to the projects, monitoring of experimentation, evaluation, and promotion.
