Types of Membership

Welcome to our vibrant community of open innovators, where success revolves around the power of co-creation.

ENoLL has the following types of memberships: Effective Member, Adherent Member, Accepted to Grow Member, and Innovation Partner.

All members go through the process of certification. All Living Labs that apply to the Association should demonstrate a sufficient level of maturity to become Adherent Members. If an organization does not fully meet all the requirements but has big potential to become a sustainable Living Lab in the future, it will be invited to join our Network as an Accepted to Grow Member. After a year, the Accepted to Grow Members can apply again to become Adherent Members.

Effective Members

The Effective Members are Adherent Members that applied for Effective Membership. Each Effective Member appoints a representative, which shall represent them in the meetings of the General Assembly.

The Effective Members have the following rights:

  • the right to attend, speak and vote at the meetings of the General Assembly,

  • the right to propose a candidate for appointment as a Director,

  • the right to participate into Action Oriented Task Forces, Working Groups, Projects.

Adherent Members

The Adherent Members are legal entities that represent a Living Lab, which was duly selected according to the ENoLL labelling process. During this process, applicants go through the Membership application process. If the organization fulfils the required acceptance criteria set by ENoLL, Adherent Membership is granted for a period of three years.

The Adherent Members have the following rights:

  • the right to attend the meetings of the General Assembly with the right to speak. For the avoidance of doubt, Adherent Members will have no right to vote at the General Assembly,

  • the right to propose a candidate for appointment as a Director,

  • the right to participate into Action Oriented Task Forces, Working Groups, Projects.

Accepted to Grow Members

Accepted to Grow Members are organizations that represent a Living Lab, which were duly selected according to the ENoLL labelling process. During this process, applicants go through the Membership application process. If the organization is not mature enough to be acknowledged as an Adherent Member but has a solid base to start from, it will become an Accepted to Grow Member. This means they will be mandatorily linked to the Capacity Building Program of ENoLL, and they’ll be re-evaluated after one year.

These members are included in the ENoLL communication channels and have the right to be present and participate in the ENoLL activities, such as:

  • the right to attend the meetings of the General Assembly,

  • the right to participate in Action Oriented Task Forces and Working Groups.

Innovation Partners

The Innovation Partners are legal entities which are involved in the objectives and activities of the Association that are not Living Labs themselves but are dedicated to supporting and developing the Living Lab community. They are companies, universities, associations, cities & departments, among others.
