After launching the first SID publication in Laureas first Service Innovation and Design seminar in 2007 in Finland, a great body of knowledge and RDI networks has been created. Since then a series of successful seminars and projects have been carried out in the LAUREA SID unit. Currently the volume of RDI work is over 7 million euros.
In February 2012 Laurea organized a International Conference on Service Design and Service Innovation, ServDes. for exchanging knowledge within service design and service innovation actors. The event was part of the Helsinki Design Capital 2012 official programme.
