The Social & Creative Community joined OLLD19

TALIA Toolkit shown for the first time to the S&C and LLs’ Communities

[Bruxelles, 9 September 2019] – The workshop held during the International Conference Open Living Lab Days 2019, that brought together more than 410 professionals and co-organised by the European Network of Living Labs, THESSAHALL and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, has been a great opportunity for promoting the results achieved by the Social & Creative Community in the MED area so far, as well as a successful matchmaking exercise that brought the Living Lab and the Social & Creative community closer.

CO-CREATE, CreativeWear and MD.net projects have contributed to the discussion by showing their interest in implementing co-creation activities, thus applying the Living Lab methodology, as well as shared their current and future needs on how to increase their communities through this approach. On the other hand, the first draft of the TALIA Toolkit and all the methods from the S&C to be used for developing projects in the Social Innovation and in the Cultural and Creative Industries sector has been presented to gather feedback from the community and implement its final version. Finally, the InterregMED projects and the Living Labbers discovered more about the Learning Lab Programme offered by ENoLL as an additional service for the ones who would like to set up a Living Lab, and joined a dynamic speed dating session to learn more about themselves and their needs to scale up the S&C community.

What is the Social&Creative community

The Interreg MED Social & Creative community aims at connecting social and creative innovators in the Mediterranean to consolidate and share new models of development. The community, led by the horizontal TALIA Project promotes in a structured way the implementation and transferability of a number of modular projects results dealing with creativity and social innovation. At this purpose, it provides common instruments that allow the modular projects to connect with local innovation communities, starting from the regions of participating partners.
