On 28 September 2018 the full SynchroniCity team met in Antwerp for the project review with the European Commission and the external reviewers. SynchroniCity is a 20M euro project co-funded by the European Commission, the Swiss Confederation, the Mexican Federal Republic and the South Korean Republic.
The latest review has been a great occasion to show the technical achievements of SynchroniCity on the internal use cases in the 8 Core Pilot cities (Antwerp, Carouge, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Manchester, Milan, Santander and Porto). The review went very well and the team is now ready to move the next phase of the project where more pilots will start after the announcement of the winning applicants of the open call at the end of November.
The SynchroniCity 3M euro open call has closed on 30 September 2018. High interest came from both SMEs and Smart Cities to join the SynchroniCity community and build together a global IoT market. More than 130 applications have been received, from both single SMEs or full consortia including new cities and involving the SynchroniCity 8 Core Pilot cities.
