Sharing Results from MED Projects
[Brussels, 24 October 2018] – The Interreg MED Programme’s Social & Creative Community gathered in Palermo on 19 October to participate in a relevant International Seminar at the CreZi.Plus cultural centre, organised by the European Network of Living Labs within the TALIA (Territorial Appropriation of Leading-edge Innovation Actions) horizontal project. The event was included within the context of the Vestino Festival that ran from 18 to 22 October 2018, directly organised by Creative Wear, one of the Modular Projects from the
Social & Creative Community.
The main objective of the TALIA International Seminar was to increase transnational activities of innovative clusters and networks in the MED area. During the event, Modular Projects shared best practices and joined a co-creation session where they contributed to improve the TALIA Innovation Model for all the Social & Creative Community.
A total of 40 participants from a wide range of Modular Projects attended the event and to discuss and reflect on the 4 main elements of the MED Innovation Vision, namely Community Scale Partnerships, Territorial Innovation, Trans-local Socio-Economic Ecosystems and Collective Creativity. Their feedback was very relevant to make the process of shaping together the MED Innovation Model more co-created and inclusive. Participants from outside the MED Community, mostly creatives working in the textile sector, also participated
in the morning session where the Med Modular Projects pitched in 10 minutes their results and challenges for the future. The suggestions from the participants have been collected and will be discussed in the next TALIA technical in Granada, Spain on 12 and 13 December 2018.

What is the Social&Creative community
The Interreg MED Social & Creative community aims at connecting social and creative innovators in the Mediterranean to consolidate and share new models of development. The community, led by the horizontal TALIA Project, promotes in a structured way the implementation and transferability of a number of modular projects results dealing with creativity and social innovation. To this end, it provides common instruments that allow the modular projects to connect with local innovation communities, starting from the regions of
participating partners.
