The EU Water Innovation Conference 2019 was held on 12 December 2019 in Zaragoza, Spain, under the theme “Accelerating action to tackle water pollution and enhance EU preparedness to water-related climate change impacts“. A side event dedicated to Living Labs was held one day before the conference. Following the success of the Water Europe workshop at the OpenLivingLab Days in September 2019, the second workshop “addressed the challenges that we need to overcome to enable Living Labs to play the role of catalyst in the adoption of innovation“.
As reported by Water Europe, “Durk Krol, Water Europe Executive Director, opened the session, highlighting the significance of the Living Labs for bringing EU research to the market and building a Water-Smart Society. Water Europe Vision Leaders were there to present an analysis of their case studies, their challenges and the way forward in an Urban, Rural and Industrial context”.
