As part of CYTED initiated by different Latin-American universities, Research Centers and Living Labs, coordinated by Citilab, an active ENoLL member, including members such as Prof. Ester Schiavo from Quilmes University in Argentina and Prof. Miriam Magdala Pinto from University of Espirito Santo from Brazil. Prof. Artur Serra, Cititlab, ENoLL Council member commented at the first meeting of CYTED:

”This initiative is not about creating a Living Lab network, but to gather a group of researchers committed to explore Living Labs as a new design research area. Living Labs can be a design research areas were established researchers and “new” researchers coming from Living Labs could form a community providing not only practical results (both commercial and social innovations)  but also theoretical models of innovation communities of the future and new methodologies to implement them. This research networks should think about what’s next for living labs from strategic perspective. Our way of establishing this will be to create publications and best practice cases starting from our own living labs where our researchers are engaged or plan to be engaged in this type of research”.

ENoLL hopes to foster Latin American-European collaboration in research (especially but not limited to conceptual frameworks, models and impact assessment), support knowledge exchange mainly through best practices examples between Latin America and Europe and commonly promote Living Lab as an instrument for International cooperation for social, technological and territorial innovation.
