There will be a mixture of several sessions, workshops, lively discussion panels between Living Lab enthusiasts and excursions and site-visits with the aim of giving the participants a wider insight about models, theories and technologies related to Living Labs and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from the leading experts on the subject. The programme includes developing global knowledge exchange through local action, all participants are invited to meet local organisations and individuals in Manchester involved as change agents, innovators and entrepreneurs through a series of study visits with the focus on how local innovation can benefit from cross-border collaboration in exchanging ideas, practice and experiences. Moreover, as a participant you will have a possibility to join the Living Lab Speed Dating –session (with an eye on the Horizon2020). In addition, the ENoLL General Assembly will be held in connection with the Summer School programme.
In addition, a Research Day will be arranged. As always contributions in all fields of user-driven open innovation are welcome, in addition to papers on the special Living Lab topics. Connected Smart & Creative Cities is the theme of the 4th ENoLL Living Lab Summer School 2013. Here you’ll meet with wide set of initiatives that support the development of connected and creative smart cities in Europe such as EPIC, combining cloud computing with future internet technologies to provide cities with tools and possibilities for the creation and sharing of ‘smarter’ city services and the creative ring, brining together wikipedians, digital artists, local media producers, fablabbers, arduins, new designers with universities, local authorities and ict companies in European cities and regions.
