The European Social Innovation Competition has selected 30 semi-finalists with ideas on turning local challenges into opportunities for young people in the economy.
The semi-finalists were selected by the judging panel, formed by 12 Social Innovation Experts, including ENoLL President Tuija Hirvikoski.
Full profiles of the 30 semi-finalists are available on the competition’s website.
These 30 semi-finalists will attend a social innovation mentoring Academy in Cluj, Romania, in July, where they will receive coaching and support to develop their ideas and produce detailed business plans. ENoLL Members, Knowle West Media Centre and Library Living Lab will be at the Academy guiding the semi-finalists in Testing, Delivering and Spreading Innovation.
Following the academy, the semi-finalists will submit a detailed development plan of their idea with the support of their assigned local coach. A total of 7 ENoLL Coaches across Europe will be supporting semi-finalists in their local area in preparing the final Development Plans. From these plans, 10 finalists will be selected. Three winners will then be awarded a prize of €50,000 at the awards ceremony in Brussels in October 2018.
