As announced in ENoLL May newsletter, at the beginning of June ENoLL participated in IoT week with two of its projects, SynchroniCity, a large-scale pilot on urban IoT-enabled services and U4IoT, a support action on co-creation.

– SynchroniCity

On 6th of June SynchroniCity co-organised together with Open and Agile Smart Cities (OASC) initiative a full-day worksop “IoT Platform Convergence for Smart Cities”. The day consisted of sessions dedicated on following topics: Leading examples of IoT-enabled smart cities, International IoT platforms, Platform Integration and Interoperability, Personal Data Protection Strategy and Standardisation Strategy as well as the concluding session Towards Interoperability and Convergence among IoT Platforms for Smart Cities. Presentations as well as overall insights from the workshop are available here.

– U4IoT

U4IoT contributed to the conference programme by organising two workshops as hands-on introduction on Multi-Stakeholder Co-Creative Workshops. This is a methodology designed to support Large Scale Pilots (LSPs) to engage end-users in their projects. ENoLL supported the workshops in a co-facilitator role.

In addition to the workshops, keynote speeches were given by project partners in different sessions throughout the event. During the conference week, both projects also organised and facilitated several project-internal as well as horizontal meetings, bringing together partners from the whole European IoT Large-scale pilots programme and even beyond from linked initiatives, such as European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC).

Both SynchroniCity and U4IoT projects had booths in the conference exhibition area, where the conference participants were able get familiar with the project activities and find more information about the initiatives with the help of the project material, such as video (U4IoT), posters and brochures.
