Introduction
Piedmont Region, as lead partner of the strategic project “Alcotra Innovation”, funded by the Alcotra cross-border cooperation programme between Italy and France, looks for two high-profile experts, to support the partnership in carrying out the activities related to the implementation of cross-border living labs.
The strategic project “Alcotra Innovation” objective is to create and develop a culture of partnership and test pilot actions between innovation actors from both sides of the border, in order to improve their innovative capacity to compete internationally with better results. In order to overcome the more traditional network approach and device a more innovative type of intervention in cross-border cooperation, the living lab approach has been selected.
The project aims to create the conditions that allow those involved on both sides of the border to work together and support these same individuals in achieving common objectives.
After an initial phase of analysis, study and understanding of the innovation actors present in the partner regions, and a stage set-up of pilot projects aimed at providing each partner all the information necessary to identify and mobilize the working groups on border region, the project involves the construction of four pilot projects carried out by the working groups across borders, they will have to formulate and develop ideas to experiment with living labs. After a full evaluation, some ideas will be selected for a subsequent phase of coaching, during which we will proceed to the implementation of living labs.
Essential to ensure an effective strategic plan will then be the enhancement of the earlier work and its translation into a single shared document, which is a transboundary strategic plan to support innovation.
