The European Commission (DG CONNECT) is looking for all types of projects that provide citizens with high-speed broadband internet– irrespective of size, location, technologies, led by public or private organisations.
Deadline for application is 15 September 2016. The application form is short and easy to fill in. The projects will be assessed by a jury of five broadband-experts from the EU. The European Commission awards outstanding broadband projects all over Europe, highlighting the successful establishment of broadband infrastructure in the following categories:
Günther Oettinger, Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, will endorse the finalists and the winners during the “B-DAY: Going Giga”- event on 14-15 November 2016 in Brussels. The European Commission (DG CONNECT) will also feature the finalists and the winners in the media, on the website and in newsletters as well as in the good practice database at the Broadband Europe website.
